Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We report measurements of direct $CP$---violating asymmetries in charmless decays of neutral bottom hadrons to pairs of charged hadrons with the upgraded Collider Detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. Using a data sample corresponding to $1\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ of integrated luminosity, we obtain the first measurements of direct $CP$ violation in bottom strange mesons, ${A}_{CP}({B}_{s}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+})=+0.39\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.15(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.08(\mathrm{syst})$, and bottom baryons, ${A}_{CP}({\ensuremath{\Lambda}}_{b}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}})=+0.03\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.17(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.05(\mathrm{syst})$ and ${A}_{CP}({\ensuremath{\Lambda}}_{b}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p{K}^{\ensuremath{-}})=+0.37\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.17(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.03(\mathrm{syst})$. In addition, we measure $CP$ violation in ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ decays with $3.5\ensuremath{\sigma}$ significance, ${A}_{CP}({B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}})=\ensuremath{-}0.086\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.023(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.009(\mathrm{syst})$, in agreement with the current world average. Measurements of branching fractions of ${B}_{s}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ decays are also updated.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
