Abstract
Resumen El articulo analiza como el Palau Requesens fue reconstruido en el siglo xx para devolverle el aspecto medieval que alguna vez pudo haber tenido. El texto se enmarca dentro de la creacion del Barrio Gotico como operacion impulsada por la burguesia nacionalista en busca de sus origenes y como medida de promocion urbana por medio de la presentacion de monumentos historicos espectaculares. Abstract The article analyses how the Requesens Palace was rebuilt in the twentieth Century probably in order to recover its medieval aspect. This reconstruction was an example of the local bourgeoisie project to promote nacional Catalan architecture in the Barcelona Gothic Quarter. This way the bourgeoise aimed to find out its origins and to valorize the city by demostring its spectacular historical monuments.
