Abstract
Este estudio tuvo como objetivo examinar los contextos y factores determinantes de la violencia contra los ancianos por la Estrategia de Salud de la Familia en la ciudad de Massape-Ceara, Brasil. Estudio con enfoque cualitativo que tuvo como su- jetos cuatro personas de la tercera edad y familias asistidas por el equipo mencionado. La colecta de datos fue realizada por entrevistas semi-estructuradas en los ancianos identificados por las agentes de salud en los meses de noviembre a diciem- bre de 2008. Los resultados se presentan de manera descriptiva, a traves del metodo de evaluacion de la Familia de Calgary (genograma y Ecomapa). Se llego a la conclusion de que todas las personas mayores tenian relaciones conflictuosas con un miembro de su familia y que la ciudad no tiene red de apoyo para resolver el problema
