La mobilité accrue des spécialistes et la féminisation grandissante des flux migratoires sont deux traits incontournables des transformations manifestes de nos jours dans le champ des migrations internationales. Cependant, seulement peu d’attention a été accordée aux femmes migrantes dans les études des « skilled migrations ».À partir des résultats d’une recherche en cours focalisée sur les stratégies de reproduction des capitaux des professionnels roumains en situation migratoire, nous analysons dans cet article, à travers une approche de sociologie qualitative, plusieurs dimensions des trajectoires des migrantes roumaines au Canada : l’impact du statut d’entrée sur leur habilité d’intégration, les stratégies différées que les professionnelles roumaines développent afin de contourner les barrières structurelles qui limitent l’accès au marché du travail canadien, l’influence de la migration sur les modèles familiaux et la recomposition des rapports de genre qui en découle.
