Cet article présente les résultats de deux études qualitatives. La première vise à mieux comprendre l’expérience de confrontation à la mort chez des infirmières en oncologie. La seconde propose une exploration des effets d’une intervention existentielle de groupe sur le vécu des infirmières. Les résultats mettent en lumière un processus d’oscillation dans l’expérience des infirmières ainsi que l’importance d’un espace d’échange contenant pour réfléchir au sens de leur expérience, ce qui représente une piste d’intervention pour soutenir le personnel infirmier en oncologie.
