Abstract
Le débat sur le mariage entre conjoints de même sexe au Canada a relancé celui, interne au catholicisme, sur le statut moral de l’homosexualité. En repérant les caractéristiques des principaux discours théologiques et magistériels sur la question, nous voulons montrer les changements dans l’argumentation des protagonistes québécois de ce débat. Nous constatons que des défenseurs et des opposants d’une conception meliorative de l’homosexualité s’empruntent des arguments pour prouver leurs thèses. Toutefois, ces emprunts sont faits à partir de positions épistémologiques et morales qui ne permettent aucun rapprochement.
