Abstract
Les célébrations commémorant le bicentenaire de la révolte de 1802 en Guadeloupe ont relancé le débat historique sur cette période mouvementée de l’histoire des Antilles. Le mouvement nationaliste guadeloupéen a cependant largement instrumentalisé cette mémoire ravivée en promouvant une lecture exclusivement noire et anti-française de l’événement, n’hésitant pas à taxer de « révisionnistes » les historiens qui soulignent le rôle des métis dans l’insurrection.
