Abstract
Cet article explore les liens entre les phenomenes de perception et de signification pour quiconque s'interesse aux possibilites creees par les medias a travers la disposition des sens humains. Dans un champ d'etude qui concoit souvent le signe comme element de base de la signification, mais qui s'attache surtout au discours et a sa structure pour etudier la signification, il peut etre pertinent de considerer la perception comme element important dans le processus meme de creation de sens. Outre McLuhan, plusieurs auteurs peuvent informer une reflexion sur ce sujet. Cette analyse de quelques oeuvres du peintre belge Magritte permet de voir une application concrete de la pensee de certains de ces auteurs afin de mieux comprendre l'interaction des phenomenes de perception et de signification.
