Résumé 1. En éclairant les mécanismes sous­tendant l’acquisition des connaissances, la recherche sur l’expertise a contribué au développement de techniques d’enseignement. 2. Un feed­back régulier et approprié est crucial tant pour le développement de l’expertise que pour un enseignement scolaire efficace. Cela est consistant avec le rôle du feed­back dans la pratique délibérée, l’enseignement privé et l’enseignement par ordinateur. 3. ACT a mené au développement de didacticiels intelligents pour l’enseignement de la géométrie, l’algèbre et la programmation. Ces didacticiels, très répandus aux États­Unis, mènent à un meilleur apprentissage que l’enseignement traditionnel. 4. La théorie des chablons arrive à des conclusions sur la manière d’enseigner qui sont contraires à certaines vérités acceptées. 5. L’étude de l’expertise a conduit à des applications importantes en industrie avec le développement de systèmes experts. Elle a également mené au développement de systèmes capables de faire preuve, de manière autonome et semi­autonome, de créativité en science et en art.
