Abstract

Les systèmes de surveillance démographique ( ssd ) impliquent un processus de recueil de l’information extrêmement contraignant ce qui a engendré une lassitude croissante chez les populations enquêtées. Partant de l’hypothèse que la restitution des résultats directement auprès des participants à ces enquêtes pouvait résoudre ce problème, notre étude avait pour principal objectif d’identifier les outils de communication adaptés en vue de rendre l’information diffusée aussi accessible que possible en tenant compte du contexte social et culturel propre à quatre ssd en Afrique. Le travail de terrain nous a conduits à nous interroger sur l’intentionnalité du chercheur au long du processus de recherche et ce faisant à remettre en question notre propre démarche « éthique ». En effet, il nous est apparu que les inégalités sociales inhérentes au rapport entre les acteurs de la recherche en contribuant à la production de connaissances souvent décontextualisées, vident aussi de leur sens l’application de normes éthiques standardisées.
