¿Es posible identificar una potencia de creación del individuo sumergido en las dinámicas de la sociedad de consumo? Esta pregunta apunta a investigar las posibles vías que el individuo ha podido generar como procesos de subjetivación en medio del crecimiento de la sociedad de consumo. Este texto presenta tan sólo una posible aproximación a encontrar una respuesta a través de una perspectiva de la relación entre el individuo y los objetos de diseño entendida como una experiencia creativa del individuo sobre su propio entorno de vida. Para dilucidar esta relación cabe acudir a algunos conceptos de la obra de Gilles Lipovetsky, vinculándolos con los conceptos de objeto de diseño, entorno objetual, y los significados que ellos construyen en el marco social.
