Abstract
We demonstrate the effectiveness of combining multiple arm RAKE reception with adaptive minimum mean square error (MMSE) combining to combat both narrow and wide band interference in an ultra-wide-band (UWB) pulse-based spread spectrum (SS) communications system. Whether a single user SS UWB system, or a direct sequence SS code division multiple access (CDMA) UWB system, the proposed receiver offers robust suppression of a narrowband interference, in marked contrast to the RAKE only receiver. When DSSS is used with CDMA, this receiver provides much greater rejection of multiuser access interference (wideband interference), avoiding an error floor for moderate system load. RAKE reception alone exhibits an error moderate system load. RAKE reception alone exhibits an error floor even at light system load. The proposed hybrid can be considered an enhancement of RAKE reception, replacing the maximum ration combining the MMSE, or as a reduced complexity alternative to adaptive MMSE multiuser detection.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from it
