Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

T2K has performed the first measurement of ${\ensuremath{\nu}}_{\ensuremath{\mu}}$ inclusive charged current interactions on carbon at neutrino energies of $\ensuremath{\sim}1\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}$ where the measurement is reported as a flux-averaged double differential cross section in muon momentum and angle. The flux is predicted by the beam Monte Carlo and external data, including the results from the NA61/SHINE experiment. The data used for this measurement were taken in 2010 and 2011, with a total of $10.8\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{19}$ protons-on-target. The analysis is performed on 4485 inclusive charged current interaction candidates selected in the most upstream fine-grained scintillator detector of the near detector. The flux-averaged total cross section is $⟨{\ensuremath{\sigma}}_{\mathrm{CC}}{⟩}_{\ensuremath{\phi}}=(6.91\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.13(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.84(\mathrm{syst}))\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}39}\text{ }\text{ }\frac{{\mathrm{cm}}^{2}}{\mathrm{nucleon}}$ for a mean neutrino energy of 0.85 GeV.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
