Les recherches partenariales entre chercheurs de R&D d’entreprises et chercheurs universitaires offrent de multiples atouts : une coopération d’expertises mobilisées pour répondre à des perspectives concrètes et l’échange entre collègues de connaissances actualisées afin de mener des activités de publications et de formalisations. Cependant, la diversité des objectifs des parties prenantes du partenariat ainsi que les temporalités d’exécution courtes au regard des critères universitaires, rendent parfois difficile la réalisation des finalités assignées à ces recherches. Pour éviter ces écueils, l’article montrera que la réalisation des recherches partenariales repose sur la capacité des chercheurs à élaborer une organisation du travail idoine, des procédures de coordination et des relations de coopération reposant sur un échange de dons. Mais les contraintes liées à la recherche en entreprise, l’ambiguïté de l’échange de dons et la valorisation problématique de ces recherches peuvent rendre difficile la réalisation des partenariats et leur renouvellement. Ces points seront abordés grâce à l’observation dans la R&D d’une entreprise, de plusieurs recherches nommées partenariales, ainsi que d’entretiens menés avec certains de ses chercheurs.
