Abstract
Cet article analyse la participation à l’emploi dans les entreprises d’insertion sociale à Montréal par rapport aux emplois précaires sur les marchés du travail. Deux hypothèses le structurent. D’une part, l’insertion sociale et l’employabilité représentent une double déclinaison du concept sociologique qu’elles labellisent. D’autre part, tout en étant dérogatoire au statut de travailleur, le statut de participant dans une entreprise d’insertion sociale à Montréal est bien meilleur que certaines formes de précarité sur le marché. Justement, parce que le traitement des participants est plus humain et moins enclin au mépris social et le revenu est constant.
