Abstract
Cet article explore la façon dont se construisent une action et une mémoire collectives à travers une expérience objective et subjective du racisme chez les jeunes de la deuxième génération haïtienne au Québec. Il examine l'influence des luttes, de¡¡ courants politiques et des " héros " américains sur les représentations de plus en plus " diasporiques " que se font ces jeunes de leur histoire, de leur identité et de leur place dans la société québécoise. Afin " d'expliquer " leur expérience sociale immédiate, ces jeunes s'approprient de manière sélective des fragments d'histoire et de mémoire puisés chez différents groupes culturels. Ce texte présente quelques données d'une intervention sociologique menée auprès d'un groupe de jeunes de Montréal-Nord, ainsi que certains éléments tirés d'entretiens individuels auprès de jeunes entre 15 et 29 ans.
