Abstract
L'ouvrage de David Niget est tir d'une thse soutenue Angers, bel aboutissement d'un travail de cotutelle et d'un projet d'histoire croise entre la France et le Qubec. Devenu au fil des ans le principal spcialiste franais de l'histoire de la justice des mineurs pour le premier XX e sicle, David Niget a, plus rcemment, tendu ses tudes la Belgique et, sans abandonner son champ de recherche, s'est plus directement investi dans des recherches sur Jeunesses et violences . Il s'intresse actuellement la question de l'expertise dans le cadre socio-judiciaire, toujours par le biais du comparatisme et avec un intrt marqu pour le rle des institutions internationales dans la circulation des ides et des pratiques.
