O objetivo deste estudo foi estimar o grau de precisão e validade da versão em português da Toronto Alexithymia Scale-TAS. Os sujeitos (N=581) eram 394 mulheres e 187 homens, estudantes universitários. Os Coeficientes Alfa de toda a amostra (0,71) e das sub-amostras feminina (0,72) e masculina (0,71) indicaram o índice de precisão da escala e o coeficiente inter-itens (0,08), a homogeneidade dos itens. A análise fatorial indicou quatro fatores compatíveis com a versão em espanhol da TAS, que já se mostrara congruente com a versão em inglês. Os resultados sugerem que, do ponto de vista psicométrico, a versão em português da escala constitui uma medida confiável e válida do constructo como suas versões anteriores em Inglês e Espanhol.Palavras-chave: Alexitimia; Escala de Avaliação; Medida de Avaliação; Precisão e Validade.
