Trata-se de um estudo de caso, tendo como referencial teorico o Modelo Calgary de Avaliacao de Familias (MCAF). Os objetivos foram compreender a experiencia de uma gestante com condilomatose vulvar ocasionada pelo Papillomavirus Humano (HPV) e conhecer as alteracoes na dinâmica familiar apos a gestante ter diagnostico clinico e laboratorial de HPV. O estudo foi realizado em uma instituicao de referencia em ginecologia em Fortaleza, Ceara. A coleta de dados se deu de outubro de 2003 a abril de 2004. Os dados foram analisados a partir do MCAF, sendo tracados seis eventos “desenvolvimentais”, evidenciando que a gestante passou por intenso sofrimento emocional, ocasionado pela gravidez e a infeccao pelo HPV, e fisico, devido as varias cirurgias que realizou; fatos que alteraram a dinâmica familiar.
