Abstract
Étudiant, du point de vue des pères divorcés, certaines décisions des tribunaux canadiens relatives au partage des biens du ménage et à la garde et à l'entretien des enfants après la rupture, l'auteur soutient que sur les deux derniers points, malgré la réforme du droit de la famille, les pratiques sont encore très étroitement liées à la notion de complémentarité des rôles sexuels et aux inégalités entre hommes et femmes sur le marché du travail. En conséquence, avant de pouvoir régler ces questions devant les tribunaux, il faudra résoudre les inégalités entre les sexes inscrites dans les rôles parentaux et dans le monde du travail.
