Abstract
À la fin du XIXème siècle, la manière de rédiger le titre des nouvelles locales subit des changements importants dans la presse québécoise de langue française. Les titres s’allongent, et le niveau d’information augmente. Le contenu sémantique des titres aussi se modifie fortement. Jusqu’à cette époque, le titre servait principalement à indexer le thème de l’article. Au début du 20e siècle, les titres, qui contiennent généralement plusieurs niveaux, fournissent des précisions sur l’événement particulier relaté dans l’article.
