General Design ChecklistsThe training provided in this textbook has focused heavily on the design, development, and analysis of specific systems and components.Codes, standards, industry rules-of-thumb, client requirements, and engineering intuition have been incorporated in the design analysis.The design checklists of this Appendix serves to provide additional guidance with regard to other items that should be considered in the design analysis and included in the contract documents, such as the drawings and specifications.While the checklists are not extensive, they should be useful to both junior design engineers as well as experienced practicing engineers.
