Abstract
Le présent document souligne l'importante baisse progressive du passif financier net du Canada à l'endroit des non-résidents observée au cours des 15 dernières années. Il comprend des totalisations portant sur les changements dans le bilan des investissements internationaux du Canada et les flux de revenus transfrontaliers connexes, et vise à déterminer dans quelle mesure ces flux de revenus d'investissements ont modifié la taille du revenu national brut du Canada par rapport à son revenu intérieur brut. Les auteurs se penchent également sur la mesure dans laquelle les changements dans le bilan net des investissements internationaux du Canada ont entraîné une augmentation de la valeur nette nationale des Canadiens par rapport au stock de richesse nationale du pays.
