Abstract
Jusqu’ici les moyens de prendre l’ascendant dans un conflit ont été orientés dans le sens de la domination totale de l’adversaire et, notamment, de la prise d’initiative sur lui. En combinant les travaux d’Idries Shah et de Francisco Varela, nous proposons d’ajouter à cette dimension classique de la stratégie, une dimension nouvelle consistant à modéliser les conflits comme des entités autonomes que l’on peut cibler et détruire. La domination et la prise d’initiative stratégique tiennent alors non plus seulement à la destruction des forces de l’adversaire, mais, également, à la capacité à détruire n’importe quel conflit déjà déclaré. Cette approche est étudiée dans le cas d’un conflit armé ou économique. Nous concluons en proposant que cette capacité de guerre à la guerre, fédérée par l’« équivalent moral de la guerre » de William James, soit appuyée par la psychologie d’une « résistance totale » au sens de Hans von Bach.
