Abstract
La Coopérative funéraire de Lotbinière, fondée en 1978, poursuit trois objectifs principaux : diminuer les coûts de la mort, modifier les attitudes des gens face aux rites funéraires et amener les personnes à préparer cet événement en connaissance de cause. La Coopérative éprouve des difficultés à recruter des membres parce qu'elle ne peut mettre à leur disposition des locaux communautaires pour l'exposition des corps. Diverses pressions empêchent aussi certains organismes d'aller de l'avant dans le prêt de locaux. De ce fait, il y a ralentissement dans le fonctionnement de la Coopérative.
