Figure essentiellement littéraire ou cinématographique dans la seconde moitié du xxe siècle, les « Lolitas » deviennent un véritable phénomène de mode pour les jeunes filles en France à partir des années 1990, avant d’être doublées, la décennie suivante, par la figure de la « sex bomb », qui métamorphose un corps d’enfant ou d’adolescente en corps sexué érotisé. Cette incursion sur le terrain de la mode vestimentaire interpelle. Les modèles de féminité incarnés par ces figures jouent à la fois sur le registre de l’enfance, la virginité des petites filles et les codes de l’érotisme d’une féminité affirmée. Cet article se propose de questionner ces modèles identitaires à la lumière d’une double analyse. Un premier regard historique rappelle l’émergence de ces figures érotisées et le passage du personnage littéraire au monde de la mode. L’analyse, complémentaire, de magazines destinés spécifiquement aux jeunes filles et jeunes femmes conforte, dans un premier temps, le rôle de ces médias dans la diffusion de ces modèles de féminité, mais ils semblent également fournir les clés d’une possible émancipation par rapport à ces modèles. Enfin, si la question de l’érotisation du corps des jeunes filles est centrale, la notion d’hypersexualisation interroge celle du contrôle social de l’apparence, ce qui sera l’objet de la dernière partie.
