Abstract
La mise en place de séances de théâtre thérapeutique à l’hôpital psychiatrique du Point G à Bamako (Mali) soulève des problèmes tout à fait intéressants, à la fois psychologiques et ethnologiques. Il s’agit ici d’analyser, avec ce double regard, l’introduction d’une forme de théâtre traditionnel (le koteba ) sur une scène hospitalière. En présentant le dispositif mis en place et en prenant pour exemples plus précis certaines séances, on montre ainsi comment la référence récurrente au village, à la fois comme espace métaphorique et comme système relationnel, permet de mieux comprendre ce qui est en jeu dans cette forme de théâtre thérapeutique. La relation thérapeutique s’inscrit en effet dans une dimension collective et est susceptible de renvoyer à des relations de pouvoirs qui sont spécifiques au contexte malien. Entre prise en charge et mise en scène, entre ethnopsychiatrie et ethnoscénologie, la référence au village permet ainsi de mieux comprendre l’efficacité relationnelle potentielle d’un tel dispositif thérapeutique.
