Mobilité internationale étudiante et insertion professionnelle : parcours différenciés de migrants congolais en Belgique

Abstract
La mobilité étudiante est une composante importante du flux migratoire de la RDC vers la Belgique. Cette recherche s’intéresse à l’insertion professionnelle de ces migrants étudiants, en comparaison avec ceux qui n’ont pas suivi d’études dans le pays d’accueil. Les profils des étudiants migrants sont hétérogènes. Leur migration et leurs études s’effectuent à des stades différents de leur vie et elles répondent à des motifs, des préoccupations et des objectifs différents. Cela s’observe dans le choix du type d’études et des filières de formation suivies. Les résultats montrent que les études effectuées en Belgique induisent une différence quant à l’insertion professionnelle des migrants. Elles permettent un meilleur accès à l’emploi et réduisent dans une certaine mesure la surqualification des migrants, mais pas de façon identique pour tous les groupes de migrants.
