Abstract
Cet article analyse les pratiques de gestion de la diversité mises en place dans les grandes entreprises japonaises. À partir du milieu des années 1990, plusieurs de ces entreprises ont progressivement fait face à la nécessité d’incorporer une plus grande diversité dans les rangs de leurs employés en raison des transformations majeures du contexte économique et social. Ce sont les moyens que les entreprises utilisent pour gérer cette diversité que nous examinerons dans cet article. Nous montrerons que cette gestion de la diversité a commencé par l’instauration de mesures visant à incorporer la main-d’oeuvre féminine dans les rangs de l’entreprise. Ces mêmes mesures seront ensuite réutilisées dans une même logique pour gérer les employés étrangers.
