Abstract
Cet article vise à faire le point, selon un mode dialectique, sur les mouvements sociaux envisagés tant sur le plan de leur centralita conceptuelle dans l'analyse sociologique que sur le plan de leur capacité à articuler, comme c'était le cas dans la société industrielle, le changement social. L'auteur passe d'abord en revue les trois principales manifestations de l'ébranlement contemporain des mouvements sociaux traditionnels ainsi que de la possibilité même de fonder une analyse sociologique sur la notion de mouvement social. L'auteur fait ensuite place à la contre-thèse, élaborée à partir d'une autre lecture du même matériel historique et sociologique, qui l'amène à envisager la reconstruction, sur un nouveau mode, de mouvements sociaux, corollaires d'une éventuelle recons-tructicjn de l'analyse sociologique.
