Abstract
Abstract The mission of Defense Research and Development Canada, Suffield, is to perform research and development in the Canadian defense sector, with specific emphasis on military engineering and chemical and biological weapons. It is one of six research centers. The Suffield range is in Alberta Canada, in an area of 3000 square kilometers and home to abundant wildlife, oil and gas reserves, and archeological sites. This article defines the various sectors of this facility. The research program has three main categories: military engineering; Technology Demonstration Project, Blast Force Protection; and chemical and biological weapons defense.
