Abstract
El primer capitulo de la presente monografia se referira al transporte multimodal y su importancia, el segundo al desarrollo y composicion del transporte multimodal en Colombia y a nivel CAN. El tercer capitulo abarcara las normas sobre transporte multimodal que priman sobre las nacionales en cada uno de los paises integrantes de la Comunidad Andina, el capitulo cuarto se enfocara en dar a conocer la experiencia de Mexico en el desarrollo de su transporte multimodal, luego de la entrada en vigor del tratado de libre comercio entre Mexico, Estados Unidos y Canada. Finalmente en el capitulo quinto se daran las conclusiones sobre el tema y unas pequenas recomendaciones.
