El objetivo de este trabajo es reflexionar sobre el rol/vinculación que las distintas materialidades asociadas al sitio arqueológico denominado Ciudad Sagrada de Quilmes han tenido y tienen en el desarrollo pasado y presente de la Comunidad India de Quilmes. En particular analizaremos cómo a partir del proceso de reconstrucción del sitio, llevado a cabo a fines de la década de 1970, se fueron produciendo diferentes transformaciones en los aspectos económicos, simbólicos, políticos y cotidianos de la relación de los pobladores locales con el mismo así como con otros actores externos a la Comunidad involucrados en tales procesos.
