ResumenEl texto presenta el debate que a continuación aparece en este mismo número de Infancia y Aprendizaje en torno a la estabilidad y el cambio en los vínculos de apego a lo largo del ciclo vital, realizado por los profesores Félix López de la Universidad de Salamanca y Barry Schneider de la Universidad de Ottawa. La autora comenta algunos de los ingredientes que hacen que el apego se haya convertido en uno de los temas más centrales y complejos en nuestro área y hace hincapié en la necesidad de disponer de mejores herramientas en su evaluación, así como de estudios realizados con muestras heterogéneas y diseños longitudinales que permitan despejar incógnitas que aún siguen abiertas. En este sentido, se hace referencia a algunos trabajos recientes realizados con menores adoptados después de haber vivido experiencias de maltrato y abandono como ejemplos que ilustran uno de los posibles caminos por los que avanzar.
