Abstract
À l’horizon des rapports entre édition critique et intertextualité se pose cette question : l’édition critique est-elle en mesure de prendre en compte et de mettre en scène les divers registres de la mémoire, individuelle ou collective, c’est-à-dire les processus de l’invention, et selon quelles modalités ou procédures ? Trois types d’intertextualité sont envisagés à partir d’exemples empruntés surtout aux Entretiens du père Dominique Bouhours et à Francis Ponge : la citation, l’allusion (et sa variante, l’application), et enfin la reprise. L’éditeur navigue entre deux écueils : méconnaître tout ce qui se réinscrit dans l’oeuvre et s’interdire de comprendre sa portée et son retentissement, car il n’y a pas d’avènement textuel sans anamnèse ; la faire éclater dans une fragmentation de sources, d’échos, de traces et s’interdire d’en saisir la métamorphose et la réinvention.
