Abstract
Depuis la Révolution tranquille au Québec, l'écart est évident entre l'allégorisation de la question nationale selon une mise en scène de la différence sexuelle telle qu'elle se manifeste dans la culture " populaire " ou de masse d'un côté, et dans la production savante de l'autre. Cet essai examine comment l'homosexualité est devenue un élément diagnostique central pour les intellectuels des années 1960 et 70 qui, concernés par l'ampleur des références complaisantes à son égard dans la culture générale, y voyaient un symptôme des ravages du colonialisme. Identifier les formes tropologiques que prenait cette allégorisation homophobe chez les intellectuels " décolonisateurs " nous permet de repérer l'anxiété sexuelle enchâssée dans les discours les plus radicaux de l'anticolonialisme québécois.
