Cette recherche evalue les facteurs personnels, familiaux et scolaire associes au risque de decrochage scolaire chez les eleves (12-16 ans) de secondaire inferieur au Quebec (Estrie) et en France (Aquitaine) et compare les facteurs de risque entre les deux pays. Les resultats montrent des differences significatives quant aux resultats obtenus entre les deux pays. Toutefois, quels que soient les participants, si les variables personnelles et familiales peuvent avoir un impact negatif sur le risque de decrochage, les facteurs scolaires sont aussi tres presents et expliquent une grande part de la variance. Ce travail confirme la complexite des facteurs qui conduisent un jeune a quitter le systeme scolaire prematurement et sans diplome et la necessite d'interventions multi-niveau afin de prendre en compte la diversite des jeunes a risque de decrochage.
