A Acádia do Novo Brunswick e a autonomia cultural: um modelo conceitual.

Abstract
Apesar da obrigação de ter de se deslocar e de se dispersar em diversos territórios constitucionais, os acadianos formam um povo que soube se afirmar e construir para si algumas estruturas autônomas. Nosso artigo tem o seu foco na Acádia do Novo Brunswick, onde vivem 85% dos acadianos e francófonos da costa atlântica. Propomos que a constituição canadense parece reconhecer o seu direito ao que chamamos de autonomia cultural. Um modelo de autonomia cultural que compreende várias componentes é aqui descrito e discutimos diferentes formas de poder político que atribuem grande importância a um projeto de autonomia cultural na Acádia. Este projeto inscreve-se no seio de uma cultura social de língua francesa no Canadá, na qual a Acádia é convidada a “aliar-se” ao Quebec como principal ator e às outras comunidades francófonas e acadianas como parceiros. Résumé: Les Acadiens constituent un peuple qui a su s’affirmer et se donner certaines structures autonomes malgré qu’il a dû se relocaliser et se disperser sur plusieurs territoires constitutionnels. Notre article focalise sur l’Acadie du Nouveau-Brunswick où vivent 85 % des Acadiens et francophones de l’Atlantique. Nous proposons que la constitution canadienne semble reconnaître son droit à ce que nous appelons l’autonomie culturelle. Un modèle de l’autonomie culturelle comprenant plusieurs composantes est décrit et nous discutons de différentes formes de pouvoir politique dont pourrait s’investir un projet d’autonomie culturelle en Acadie. Ce projet s’inscrit au sein d’une culture sociétale de langue française au Canada dans laquelle l’Acadie est invitée à “faire société” avec le Québec comme chef de file et les autres communautés francophones et acadiennes comme partenaires.Mots-clés: Acadie du Nouveau-Brunswick; autonomie culturelle; pouvoir politique; communautés francophones du Canada.Abstract: Acadians form a people that have been assertive and have built for themselves certain autonomous structures despite the fact that they were scattered over several constitutional territories and had to relocate thereafter. The article focuses on New Brunswick’s Acadie where 85% of Atlantic Acadians and Francophones live. We propose that the Canadian constitution seems to recognise their right to what we call “cultural autonomy”. We describe a multi-component model of cultural autonomy and discuss the different forms of political power that could be invested in a cultural autonomy project in Acadie. This project fits into a Canadian French language societal culture, in which Acadie is invited to join forces with Quebec as leader and other Francophone and Acadian communities as partners.Keywords: New Brunswick Acadia; cultural autonomy; political power; francophone communities in Canada.
