Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The present set of volumes comprises selected papers from the 5th International Conference on the Processing and Manufacturing of Advanced Materials - THERMEC'2006 - held from July 4-8, 2006 in Vancouver, Canada. This collection assembles the total current knowledge of researchers and engineers/technologists working on various aspects of the processing, fabrication, structure/property evaluation and applications of both ferrous and non ferrous materials including biomaterials, ecomaterials and smart/intelligent materials. The papers are divided into the chapters: Keynote addresses (40 contributions); Aluminium & Aluminium Alloys; Biomaterials; Composites; Surface Engineering/Coatings; Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies; Intermetallics; Magnesium Alloys; Metallic Foam; Metallic Glasses; Mechanical Behaviour & Fracture; Ecomaterials; 3D Microstructures: Characterization & Modelling; Multiscale Mechanical Modelling; Powder Metallurgy; Severe Plastic Deformation; Superalloys & Heat-Resistant Steels; Smart/Intelligent Materials and Processes; Texture; Thin Films; Titanium Alloys & Aerospace Structural Metallic Materials; Friction Stir Processing; Welding and Joining; HSLA/CSP/Precipitation; Steels - Advanced High Strength; Steels (Pearlitic/Bainitic/Martensitic) Phase Transformation; Steels (Fine-Grained & Pipeline); Steels: Advances in Structure Property Relations; Steels: Stainless and High Nitrogen; and Nanocrystalline Materials. This wealth of information makes the collection an incomparable and timely guide to the subject.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
