Abstract
Une analyse de l'évolution récente dans trois domaines (celui de la linguistique, celui de la sémiologie et celui de la théorie marxiste des idéologies) montre un début de conjoncture de ces domaines par rapport à l'objet discours. Il est maintenant possible d'amorcer une discussion sur le mode d'existence de l'idéologique au sein des matières signifiantes. Quelques exemples de description des mécanismes discursifs de nature idéologique dans la presse hebdomadaire donneront un aperçu de l'inspiration méthodologique qui semble la plus fructueuse pour orienter une telle démarche. Le développement de celle-ci est la condition indispensable pour avancer vers une théorie générale de l'idéologique.
