Abstract
La these s'interesse a la place et la forme des savoirs dans l'education scientifique et technologique de l'ecole primaire. La transposition du materiau est exploree en situation reelle de classes, dans le processus de conception-production-utilisation d'objet. L'etude porte sur l'influence des mises en relation des contraintes qui interagissent au niveau fonctionnel, structurel et de la forme des elements sur le choix du materiau. L'influence est mesuree dans une tâche de tri de materiaux et a partir des cacteristiques didactiques qui agissent sur l'activite des eleves. Nous montrons qu'il est possible d'introduire dans l'activite de producions d'objets des connaissances technologiques ; de construire des situations d'enseignement viables a l'ecole primaire sans denaturer ces savoirs, tout en les rendant manipulables par les eleves ; de mettre en oeuvre des dispositifs didactiques dans des classes ordinaires et d'apprendre.
