Résumé Dans cet entretien, Pierrette Bouchard rapporte les résultats d’une étude de presse sur le traitement médiatique de la réussite scolaire différenciée des filles et des garçons dans six pays occidentaux. Puis elle analyse l’accueil reçu par ses conclusions dans les milieux masculinistes. Après avoir été un domaine privilégié de l’action féministe en faveur de l’égalité entre les sexes au Québec, mais aussi un lieu de résistance des filles et de leurs mères face aux assignations identitaires, l’éducation voit se développer une lutte d’influence des réseaux masculinistes pour garantir le statu quo , voire un retour en arrière, dans les rapports sociaux de sexe. Les antiféministes opèrent un renversement du discours féministe sur les discriminations de sexe qui fait conclure à un phénomène de « ressac », mouvement concerté pour faire perdre des acquis aux femmes.
