Abstract
Cet article traite des réactions à l'idée de la mort, la sienne comme celle de l'autre, mort toujours présente et impensable pour une si large part. La mort n'arrive pas seulement comme un fait au terme de la vie. Elle est aussi appréhendée de loin, redoutée et sentie au travers ce qui peut la représenter. Elle suscite en cela un travail psychique complexe, demandant de comprendre l'impensable fin de la vie du corps et de l'esprit. Trois moments scanderont notre écrit. Le premier présentera un auteur sensible aux réactions d'un autre face à la mort. Son ouverture à le comprendre augmentera sa compréhension de lui-même... face à sa propre mort. Le deuxième temps sera celui d'un auteur divisé, aux prises avec deux parties de lui-même en conflit. Le troisième examinera deux réactions typiques du personnel soignant face aux mourants, deux réactions défensives à comprendre pour les dépasser tout en reconnaissant une part de leur inexorabilité.
