Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

In this paper we develop a new, simple and, at the same time, general method for the estimation of the rate of capacity utilization (CU). This method draws on the standard theory of economic growth and makes use of the structural vector autoregression (SVAR) system of equations estimating technique with long-run restrictions. The measure of CU that we derive for the Canadian economy displays a similar profile with the corresponding survey measure. The results of the econometric analysis, however, show that the explanatory content of the SVAR measure with regard to the acceleration of inflation exceeds that of the survey, especially when it comes to the post-1990 years.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
