INCAPACIDADE POR LOMBALGIA EM TRABALHADORES DO SETOR DE LIMPEZA DA UNIVERSIDADE DE MOGI DAS CRUZES DISABILITY IN WORKERS WITH LOW BACK PAIN IN THE CLEANING SECTOR OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MOGI DAS CRUZES

Abstract
As afecções musculoesqueléticas relacionadas com o trabalho, que, no Brasil, se tornaram conhecidas como\nlesões por esforços repetitivos (LER) e/ou distúrbio osteomuscular relacionado ao trabalho (Dort), representam\no principal grupo de agravos à saúde, dentre as doenças ocupacionais no País. Uma das dores que se situa\nentre as 20 queixas mais comuns de pessoas que procuram o serviço médico é a lombalgia. Esta é considerada\num problema de saúde pública, com altos custos socioeconômicos, que chegam a 50 bilhões de dólares anuais\nnos EUA. Verificar a incapacidade por lombalgia em trabalhadores do setor de limpeza de uma universidade da\nregião de Mogi das Cruzes, em São Paulo. Participaram deste estudo 21 trabalhadores, de ambos os gêneros, do\nsetor de limpeza da Universidade de Mogi das Cruzes. Para a coleta dos dados, foi utilizada a escala de Quebec de\nincapacidade laborativa por lombalgia. Os resultados apontam incapacidades em todas as atividades avaliadas pelo\nquestionário, sendo que todos os participantes apresentaram incapacidades em alguma dessas atividades. Dentre\nos resultados, pode-se observar que a lombalgia afeta principalmente a capacidade de alcançar prateleiras\naltas (38%, muita dificuldade; 5%, incapaz), curvar-se para limpar uma banheira (38%, muita dificuldade; 14%,\nincapaz) e correr um quarteirão (19%, muita dificuldade; 48%, incapaz). A lombalgia afetou a capacidade laborativa\ne as atividades de vida diária dos trabalhadores do setor de limpeza que integraram a pesquisa.
