Abstract
Ce texte propose une revue des développements récents de la littérature macroéconomique inspirée de l’approche des modèles du cycle réel qui incorpore différentes facettes de l’activité gouvernementale. À l’aide d’un modèle typique du cycle réel avec gouvernement, nous identifions les canaux de transmission de la politique fiscale. Nous dégageons aussi l’intuition des effets de la politique fiscale suivant la nature et la durée de la politique de dépenses ou de taxation mise en oeuvre. En particulier, nous discutons de l’existence d’effets multiplicateurs et des questions reliées à l’endogénéisation de la politique fiscale.
