Abstract
Organized to inaugurate the Cite de l’energie in Shawinigan, this exhibition includes sixteen artists from Canada and abroad (eight modern and eight contemporary) whose work broach the human condition through representations of the body. Curator Theberge writes on the architecture of the site and the selection of the art works. Eight separate authors analyze the 53 sculptures and installations in light of their production context and in relation to each artist’s evolution. List of works; 2 bibl. ref.
