PREVALÊNCIA DE SINTOMAS ÁLGICOS, SOBRECARGA E QUALIDADE DE VIDA DE CUIDADORES DE CRIANÇAS COM PARALISIA CEREBRAL

Abstract
Objetivo: Avaliar a prevalência álgica, sobrecarga física e mental, e a qualidade de vida do cuidador da criança com PC atendidas em uma instituição de referência na cidade do Salvador/Bahia. Metodologia: Esta pesquisa de campo contou com 15 cuidadores de crianças com PC, com idade de 4 a 12 anos. Para a coleta de dados foram utilizados o Questionário de Dor de McGill, a Escala do Cuidador de Zarit e a Escala SF-36 Resultados: Dos 15 voluntários, 66,7% eram mães e 66,7% apresentaram dor na lombar. Quanto a sobrecarga, 60% dos voluntários a apresentaram de forma moderada, e em relação aos domínios da SF-36, a Capacidade Funcional, Limitação por Aspectos Físicos, Limitação por Aspectos Emocionais e Dor, foram os mais significativos, apresentando as pontuações de 66,7%, 40,0%, 66,7% e 73,3 % respectivamente. Considerações Finais: Pode inferir que estes cuidadores possuem bom nível de qualidade de vida de acordo com os domínios analisados. Como já era esperado, apresentaram alto índice de sobrecarga e de regiões álgicas, devido aos cuidados por eles prestados.
