Abstract
Cet article aborde la question de l’évaluation et de l’anticipation du risque sur les marchés financiers aux États-Unis. Les différents types de risque sont analysés ainsi que les principales méthodes utilisées pour les évaluer. La crise des subprimes qui a marqué la fin du second mandat de G.W. Bush a semblé déboucher sur une crise systémique. Parmi les différentes strates de risque, le plus grave est celui qui porte le système financier et économique au naufrage. Les conditions de la remise en cause du système suite à des prises de risque ou une absence de contrôle rigoureux du risque posent la question de l’équilibre entre la sphère politique et la sphère financière.
