Abstract
La mélancolie de Gautier, inscrite dès l’origine, et dont les images traversent toute l’oeuvre, s’exprime dans la tristesse de la perte de l’objet et le désir de l’ailleurs qu’il appelle « la maladie du bleu ». Mais les rêves solaires comme les rêves d’envol ont leur revers : le soleil devient noir et le vol se fait chute et noyade. Le poème « Tristesse en mer » témoigne de l’artifice du salut qui doit être pris avec ironie.
